Holy Cross Hospital Expansion/Modernization

This 66,900 SQM expansion/modernization for Holy Cross Hospital involved a 29,730 SQM addition of two additional patient floors over the existing East Wing floor; vertical expansion over the main entrance; an eight-story physician office/emergency building; a two-story North Wing (Concourse) to form the front entry; and upgrades to the mechanical/entrance infrastructure. Work also included the design for seismic requirements of IBC for the emergency office building. The remaining 37,200 SQM of existing space was renovated and converted into the hospital's ambulatory care, food service, OB & Women’s Center, new medical/surgical units, oncology and critical care units.

This project has also garnered the following awards: ABC Baltimore Award of Excellence in Construction (North Addition); ABC Metro Washington and ABC Virginia Awards for Excellence in Construction (Physicians Specialist Building); ABC Metro Washington and ABC Virginia Awards for Excellence in Construction (Vertical Expansion); and Montgomery County Community Service Award for the New Construction and Renovation.
